Having visited casino buffets in Las Vegas, I was prepared for dimly lit and shabby interiors. The Star has a large variety of restaurants including five star fine dining. Not all the restaurants are managed by The Star with a number of outlets being privately managed.

Seasonal desserts like stone-fruit tarts in summer keep the buffet harvest menu fresh and exciting. Additionally, the buffet has introduced a rotating global cuisine night every month, where a specific country’s dishes are highlighted—think Italian pastas one month and Indian curries the next. I drizzle some spicy vignette from the salad bar on the oysters. Since I’m dining on a Sunday night, there’s also a selection of seafood laid out, the seafood spread is also available on Friday and Saturday nights. In the end I really did try my best to try as much as I could to do this review justice. Harvest buffet isn’t the most expensive but it’s definetly not the cheapest in town. The seafood was fresh, but the selection was a little limited, and that also goes for the number of hot dishes as well. However for the price point as well as the convenient of location, I think this a great place for the family or a group. Everyone gets to choose what they like and it’s not going to be carb heavy cheap dishes with little protein or skill needed to make.
